We have a diverse client base that allows our team of project managers, estimators, schedulers, mechanical and electrical engineers to work on a wide variety of exciting projects. In addition to cost estimating, we provide scheduling support, construction professional services, facilities engineering and Integrated Automation Systems (IAS), Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis (CSRA), value engineering, and research studies. About You
As a Senior Scheduler, you will be responsible for providing scheduling support for various military construction, healthcare, and university projects. This will include supporting projects through Design and Construction Phases. You will also be responsible for mentoring and training project and entry level schedulers. To be successful in this role you must be self-motivated, client-oriented, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be confident in your ability to effectively manage each scheduling project.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Scheduling
o Scope each project and address any immediate concerns with the client
o Preparation of schedules and construction cost loaded schedules utilizing Primavera P6
o Analysis of base line contractor schedules and schedule updates
o Analysis of contractor change orders
o Review of time impact analysis as it relates to time extension requests or claims
o Review of contractor submittals, RFIs, and client contracts
o Assist with claims, litigations, and negotiations with boards / committees
o Lead scheduling meetings and provide detailed meeting minutes to project team
Perform Advanced Technical Writing and Report Preparation
o Time Impact Analysis
o Change Orders
o Monthly Schedule Reviews
o Project Write-Ups for Proposals
Client Management
o Maintain constant, professional communication
o Actively participate in charrettes, workshops, and meetings
o Provide client-facing presentations
o Develop and grow client relationships
• Train and mentor our team of project and entry level schedulers
• Develop and respond to scheduling proposals. Provide proposal support to our project managers. This includes providing input on the level of effort needed and providing any necessary technical information on each proposal
• Meet established Key Performance Indicators (KPI). These are set up on an individual basis and examples for a Senior Scheduler include: responsibility for project P&L, completing projects on schedule, maximizing opportunities with existing clients, etc.
• Regularly coordinate with project managers, operations manager, and business development team
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete projects on time
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience developing schedules using Primavera P6
• Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
• Experience with Earned Value Management-EVM, Forecasting, Job Scheduling
• Advanced knowledge of government contracts
• Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
• Detail oriented
• Time Management – use time effectively and efficiently, can attend to a broader range of activities, gets more done in less time than others
• Diligent worker and team player ‐ No task too small. Getting the job done and exceeding client expectations is the key to integrating successfully into our team
• Experience working on projects in a collaborative team setting
