Position Description
In this role, Project Estimators will work closely on all levels with our highly reputable team to perform Cost Management and Estimating services. You will be expected to communicate and collaborate with our clients and lead projects from start to finish. This is a leadership role in which you will provide guidance to our staff of Junior Estimators on an ongoing basis.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Team leading, mentoring, training, and oversight of Junior Estimators and Quantity Surveyors.

Creates in-house and external communications (memos, letters, and reports) for project deliverables.

Uses comparative research and analyses of data activities for report preparation.

Prepares variances analyses including cost pricing and productivity research.

Creates custom reports and documents using graphics and charting capabilities, and drafts portions of formal reports.

Performs accurate quantity surveys and take offs from drawings and specifications using appropriate published cost indices and databases.

Reviews and understands all project plans, documents, and specifications.

Obtains material and equipment quotes from vendors.

Researches and applies local Davis Bacon and labor unit rates.

Inputs estimating data into application software.
Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in the Design, Engineering, Construction Management or Economics industry and/or 8-12+ years of relevant experience.

Experience managing a wide range of projects and experience managing people.

Proficient with MCACES MII, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Crystal Ball, On-Screen Takeoff, and/or other Estimating Software.

Advanced skill level in Excel.

Should possess or be pursuing certification in one or more of the following including, but not limited to: CEP, CCP, PE, CVS, PMP.
