Position Description
Estimators will work closely with all levels of our highly reputable team to perform Cost Management and Estimating services. With projects ranging in size from $1 million to $3 billion, our team delivers solutions to clients in the areas of Conceptual Estimating, Budget Development, Cost Planning, Feasibility Studies, Value Management, Economic Forecasting, Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis, Change Order Review, Life Cycle Costing, and more. Individuals must be self-motivated, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be confident in their ability to develop and manage their assigned portion of the estimate.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Perform accurate quantity surveys and take offs from drawings and specifications using appropriate published cost indices and databases.

Review and understand all project plans, documents, and specifications.

Obtain material and equipment quotes from vendors.

Research and apply local Davis Bacon and labor unit rates.

Input estimating data into application software.

Provide cost analysis of actual costs on current and completed projects; assembly line items; creating custom reports; creating documents using graphics and charting capabilities; and drafting portions of formal reports.
Minimum Basic Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in the Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or Economics industry, and/or 4-8+ years of experience.

Knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff, MCACES MII, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6.

Advanced skill level in Excel.

Time Management – use time effectively and efficiently, can attend to a broader range of activities, gets more done in less time than others.

Experience working on projects in a collaborative team setting.

Preparing to attain a professional certification, including but not limited to CCP, EIT, PE, PMP.

Should have a membership position in a professional organization.
